Terminal 1, an International standard airport that can rival any first world airport. Security check was efficient. Staff are courteous and friendly. Spacious, clean and lots of seating. Toilets are clean and maintained. Lots of Duty Free and varied shops. Good selection of restaurants and fast food available.

Flight at 2am from terminal 2. From the entrance to the gate it took 1 hour, which I can say it's fine for the African standards where we have many passport checks. Easy to navigate at the terminal, shops and various restaurants are in the boarding area. I belive it may take more time if you arrive later but I'm satisfied with the airport.

Awful airport experience. In transit to Europe it was just run of the mill bad: no gate (had to ride a bus to the terminal), wifi is inoperative and all the food options are overpriced. On the way back from Europe we spent the evening in Casablanca. When you depart customs (after a solid hour of waiting) they drop you right into a vipers den of salespeople offering taxi rides, tours, etc. We had to fight through the mob to get to the legit taxi line. The experience with the flight back to the States was truly awful. First you enter the airport and wait in a line to have all your bags (including luggage you intend to check in) screened and go through security. Then you wait in a line at your check in counter and then a line for the machine to scan your boarding card to go through security again. At the end if that line is a guard who checks your passport and then puts you in a line for a scanner After you finish that you . go wait in a customs line for 40 minutes, with several "special" passengers cutting in line. After you pass outbound customs you then (wait for it) have to show your boarding card and passport again to another guard (these lines are like a jobs program here). Finally you are allowed in the terminal and you are hungry from all the line standing so you head to the Hudson newsstand to buy some chips and the sales clerk asks for your boarding pass (head bangs wall repeatedly at this point). We walk to gate and another round of security checks.
I like feeling secure but the multiple checks and rechecks were absurdly inefficient and unlike anything I have seen at first world airports. Morocco airport authority needs to review and streamline its processes if they don't want to deter future visitorsresponse / report this review -

Worst airport I've been at, spent 2 days because head of security pointed me to wrong line, missed my flight, my luggage was lost, no one around to help. One advise KEEP AWAY FROM THIS AIRPORT, if you had to, just have all your boarding passes because they WILL NOT give you one, help desks are just for decoration !

I will say after you get through the cluster. into the airport itself it's very nice. But the fact that you have to arrive 3 hours early for your flight and maybe just make it at that is a disgrace. The checks are a joke, the agents don't even look at your x-ray scans of your luggage and the lack of guide rails at the security checks breeds people pushing and shoving each other - mostly saying they are employees. Is an employee entrance too much to avoid this? That and the fact that there are three scanners for everyone to be scanned before they even enter the airport is a total farce. Anyone with an eighth of their brainstem knows this won't work. Worst experience I have ever had, total bedlam. They delayed our plane an hour plus because so many people hadn't made it through. Many people missed their connections cause this airport just can't figure it out. Truly the most disorganized thing I have ever seen in my life.
Such a shame after touring this extremely impressive country and meeting the wonderful people of Morocco that this stain has to be your last experience.response / report this review -
