Troglodyte House

  Great exemplar of troglodyte construction in the north of Africa. This underground construction system assures a comfortable temperatures throughout the year inside the different compartments, also protecting the residents from the harsh elements (strong winds, extreme desert heat, low night temperatures, etc).
  Several families coexisted in the same house (one per each room).
  If you search closely, you'll find several of these coves scattered around Gharyan, specially close to this house.
