  Yes it was destroyed but they rebuilt it for VIP's only 😠😠😠😠😠😠😠 now if a person has to go europe,he has to go to istanbul from mitiga airport then to wherever he has to go😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠

  Before its destruction, it used to be main hub connecting Libya with Europe, Middle East and rest of Africa.

  It was a good airport. The staff was friendly, they have great coffee and snack's. But it's very annoying that there are always delay's. I heare'd that it's a destroye'd airport now because of the civil war. But i was there for the last time in 2010.

  looked like a prison and nobody speaks English.
  and everything was delayed and there were poeple walking around with machine guns, not quite comfortable
