Best place. It's a kind of journey to the ancient Rome. You can see the palaces, buildings and the houses of ancient Romans. Sad thing is that everything is in ruins. The best thing is that the surviving structures are amazing to see. You will wonerat the engineering marvel and effort that goes into the making of this gigantic structures. Most of the sculptures have been removed from these sites and are now preserved in the Tripoli museum.

Never realized the influence of Roman at the northern part of Africa. The place were well preserved when I visited in 2007 and 08. I hope they survived from the recent political unrest.
