First class, had a lovely stay. Checked in not expecting much but the quality of the service and food was second to none. Average day started with the usual early morning alarm service by the hotel security guards, lovely gents but did seem preoccupied most of the time. They did shout at us a lot but I just smiled as I'm sure it was just down to cultural differences. The manager of the hotel was a great chap, always dressed very smart an joined us for lunch each day. He did look like an Arab version of Sylvester Stallone tho and insisted that everyone call him the colonel. The entertainment was also 5 Stars. Each evening there was, what I could only call, the greatest firework display on earth. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who might be passing through Tripoli.

I arrived at the Hotel after an interesting journey through Tripoli, There was no public transport but i managed to hitch a ride with some locals who seemed to be in very good spirits! They were very partial to firing their guns into the air but i thought it rude to say anything, before arriving at the hotel i got caught up in some sort of party, not only were people firing guns into the air but some were also shot and being shot, I bet they had red faces when they realised! People started running into this giant compound which looked like a bit of a laugh so i joined in and it really was jolly good fun! I didn't actually stay in the hotel much as i was having such fun with my new found friends, it really was a 'Once in a lifetime' holiday.
