Edit 04/03 came to eat here again and had wonderfull service, and wonderfull food as usual so had to update and happy to see a good resturant keep its reputation and quality.
I recommend to come a spend the drive as it worth it, kids enjoyed as well, this place is magical in summer and winter and if you want there is also an hotel where you can stay over night.response / report this review -

The food is outstanding, rated 3rd best Latvian restaurant in 2016. And to help it down they have their own brew. The decoration is modern with very friendly staff. And it isn't expensive either!

Perfect place, delicious food, nice service. Number 1. restaurant in Latvia in my opinion. Never have felt so peaceful and relaxed in any restaurant. Really nice and positive atmosphere.

The restaurant is located in the beautiful Latvian countryside region called Tervete. It is surrounded by endless cornfields and even has its own pond with birch and aspen groves dotted around it! I was recommended to visit this restaurant by friends, saying it is "a little gem in the middle of nowhere", "a place with atmosphere" and the “number one” restaurant of 2016. We drove all the way there, about and an hour and a bit from Riga, just to see and experience the new place. The food was very good (I especially enjoyed the tomato soup). They also serve their own beer which is a must-try (they also make different beer cocktails). The service was great and the staff were very polite and helpful.
All in all I can't say it was something extraordinary, but it's definitely worth a visit if you like the countryside and discovering new places!response / report this review -

Feeling so much disappointed with service in this beautiful place: starting from the check in 4pm and check out 12pm and ending with rejection to order any cover group at my cost for all the guest of the restaurant. We just didn't want to spend my husbands birthday under some play list and offered the choose together with management any cover band and to pay for it. The answer is no. The reason is: "this is our rules". As an add You can fish in the lake but the kitchen can not cook what you have hunted They have to many orders so you can do whatever with the fish you have caught

Best restaurant 2016???why
Service non existent. Lucky the bartender was here. wait 30min at the table with no menu. Get the menu and drinks by myself. Came here for special occasion. Ruined. Over cook rib eye, duck and fish over cooked. Ask rare rib eye get medium well. As excuse the waitress tell me it's have some blood. I'm chef. Get a red lobster nothing for eat it no fingers bowl.
The standard are really low.

The beer here is amazing! Great taste and lovely atmosphere. You will enjoy the view while you eating delicious meal, which looks fantastic. The staff here is friendly and you will be treating with a high standard.
