The best and the coolest people work there. It is a place with spectacular architecture and fascinating history. The highest of VAKS's towers is also the highest place in Valmiera you can legally climb.
The best time to visit is during high peak of season, which is usually from the begging of August till late September.
If you are nice and friendly you can always get a coffee and some snacks.
If they ask you for snacks you can get them at nearby bakery. Then you will be more than welcome.
