A historic and architecture marvel, dates back to the year 1209. But as a touristic point I don't recommend it, they overcharge the price to climb the tower (11 euros), and the people is rude.

I like the church very much, it looks very beautiful from the outside, also on the inside, there's plenty to see and the tower is also very beautiful. However I think it is a bit overpriced going up to the tower.

A beautiful red brick church built in the early 13th century. It costs €3 person to enter the church and if you wish to go up the tower it'll cost €9. There's plenty of history behind this church so a visit is recommended.

Great views from the top. Plan your visit time according to the position of the sun, because otherwise you will end up with a lot of Shadows on your pictures.

    "Gorgeous Church, Hostile Staff"
One of the best architectures in Old Town, but the lady in the ticket office was very unfriendly. We didn't know the church tower was closed due to the wind, the staff told us nothing, when we wanna buy the tickets, simply saying one word "CLOSED!!" in such bad manner, Latvian people are generally friendly, this is an exceptional case. Anyone wanna visit, be prepared.

St. Peters Church and its impressive spire can be seen from afar, therefore its a photographers dream. Impressive views and vistas making it a magnificent backdrop.

In the winter, it is very cold and windy at the top of the tower. So be prepared. You can't miss it. The view is superb and astonishing.

St. Peter's Church (Latvian: Svētā Pētera Evaņģēliski luteriskā baznīca) is a Lutheran church in Riga, the capital of Latvia, dedicated to Saint Peter. It is a parish church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia.

Make sure to go up in a not so rainy day. I think it is a bit overprice as you can have a similar view of the city from the Skyline bar and with the same price you get the beer and the view.

There are great views from the bell tower of tge church. There is an elevator that will bring you to the top, but there is a fee (be prepared to open your wallet).

This church was built 500 years ago. The Reformation also started 500 years ago. To think that this church is as old as the Reformation helps put the historical perspective into better view. This church also has the tallest steeple in Riga. With taking a look. If you are adventuresome, for a fee, you can climb up into the steeple for a spectacular view of the city.

The ticket to the tower top, though quite pricey, was worth it, the city panorama was stunning. The church ticket without the elevator was a rip off, as you can't walk anywhere, the only thing you have access to is the back rows of seats.

I was in the old town of Riga during New Year's. Stunning place and medieval atmosphere. Here you can have mold wine and enjoy a warm soup at the Christmas market.

I want to explain that St. Peter's Church, in this photo, is that green tower behind, and it is not those buildings you see at the front. This photo could cause misunderstanding.
Now, about St. Peter's Church, it has an elevator, you pay and you get access to the tower, where you can make amazing panoramic fotos.

Very beautiful church. It's really impressive and it's one of the Layvian architectural examples which is also done in minimalism style

Not a place that I recommend to visit. You get a great view over Riga from the tower, but it is quite expensive to be just a short time in the tower, plus the line to the elevator. The church is beautiful though.
