Peaceful, beautiful palace -- very poignant descriptions of how it's been saved from ruin. Fun to see some of the rooms used settings of BBCs recent dramatisation of War and Peace. Easy to get to by bus, glad we didn't pay for the €60 bus tour.

This place is also known as the "Latvian Versailles" and the reason is obvious when you look at the gardens or at the palace itself. This place is a rare gem, surrounded by nature in the middle of nothing: this makes the area even more magnificent! Very nice the rooms with a color-theme, my first choice in the spectacular interiors of the palace.

An excellent thing to visit a little bit outside of Riga both for tourists and citizens of Latvia. A beautiful garden and a beautiful interior, plus it's pretty quiet so you can take a walk around the garden mostly by yourself.

Cool place. Huge. Many rooms to walk through. Be sure to check out the gardens there too. You can easily spend a couple of hours there.

A lot of tourist visiting this place in summer, especially July. This place is popular not only because of the history it has and things to see, but their rose garden especially stands out! The garden is quite big and you can walk and see all the different kind of roses you can imagine. Everyone of the has it's name assigned as well and the date. If you would get tired of roses, you can always check out the labyrinth. Somewhere hidden in it there is a cafe where you can enjoy your tea or lunch.

Luxuirous, beautifully preseved palace where you will feel yourself as somewhere in the Loire valley or in St Petersbourg. Its special charme that there os no crowd and you can enjoy walking in its numerous rooms. It is really worth buying a long walk ticket combined with garden visit where are houndreds of colourful roses.

You should go here if you are in Latvia. The nearby castle of Bauska is also a choice but before coming here. The Palace has really interesting displays inside. Feels like a "mini" louvre focusing on Latvian history. The garden is perfect though visited this at the end of Autumn so flowers were not in full bloom anymore. Still captured some artistic shots of the Palace.

A unique place to visit on a beautiful summer day. Large park is part of the sight. Free parking. Signs missing from parking lot to the palace though. Additional parking available at a restaurant's parking lot, altough again signs missing.
