This hotel is ok. But a bit limited. It's a 25 minute brisk walk out of the town centre, up in the edge of the "art Nouveau"area. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around. Our room was quite small. There were no comfy chairs to sit on but there would have been no room for them. The quilt was a bit small and didn't quite cover the bed area. The hot water wasn't working on our last day. It smelt a bit of drains. Breakfast was included but somewhat uninspiring.

Wonderful food and service ! Lovely building too - quite simply the best meal we have had for a long time from the amuse bouche through the amazing spinach soup tartare venison to the duck and trout main courses. Wonderful servers guided my choice of infused gin to a sublime Sauvignon Blanc - thankyou so much !

Perfect location, on a quiet street with walking distance to most of the sights and the Old Town. A couple of nice restaurants and one of the many Double Coffee (supernice café/restaurant) nearby. Very nice and fresh breakfast. Super spacious room for a really nice price (stayed in a Junior Suite for 5 nights). A little disturbing with the noise from the kitchen when preparing breakfast early in the morning above our room, but overall we are very pleased with our visit and would absolutely come back!

This might be a bit long review but
To be honest, I wouldn't choose this hotel for the second time. Some times there wouldn't be hot water if you enjoy very hot shower or bath. TV is super small but we didn't come here to watch TV, it's approx 16" screen. And the smell from the toilet is just awful. Like seriously you can smell it in the room even though the bathroom door is closed. This is the major reason I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. For double room with one bed they give you a super small blanket that nearly covers only one person. They gave us the double blanket after we asked though. The noise from the outside is terrible in the mornings, so you should leave the window closed for that. Some strange things happening to the window too, we would leave it on ventilation mode and come back to a fully open window. As we stayed on first floor, that terrified me abit, leaving our laptops and other valuables in a room like that. So be sure to close the window fully when leaving the room.
Breakfast is good, lots of options. Room cleaning is good, fresh towels and sheets every day. Location is good, you can reach old town in minutes either with feet or public transportation.

Our room did not get cleaned half of the time, and the bed quality was quite awful, an old spring mattress

1st floor rooms are the worst. If they give you one ask for another because ypu'll hear everyone walking and you'll hear the water and the employees walking and doing their job.

A lovely hotel. The reception is not accessible by wheelchair, but the other building in the back is, and has a very modern elevator. Lovely breakfast on the 4th floor.

Awful experience. The neighbour doesn't seem really safe in the night. Breakfast was poor and always the same every day (only the coffee was good).

Room was clean, but small and with an uncomfortable bed.

OK location and breakfast, with terrible beds. This hotel offers typical slavic-style service, which mean you have to milk good morning out of staff's mouth.

The pictures online were definitely much nicer than reality was. Our room was super small, which was still okay.
The Breakfast was simple and continental: bread, cheese, sausage, some fruit and cereal. simple apple & orange juice.
But the totally worst are the beds. We could feel every piece of metal and it was very uncomfortable to sleep in any position. I strongly recommend to choose a different place if you have problems with your back.
After all the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Superb breakfast, rooms very personal design, nice staff, totally historic feel - original brick interior walls. Stay here if want a sense of Latvia, Sheraton if you want to feel like in America.

Good rooms with TV and great bathroom but a lot of noise from the street because of the cars. You can't shower after 11pm. Good food and great breakfast.
