Interesting Museum for aviation enthusiasts, located next to the airport terminal and thus easily accessible from the centre of Riga via bus or fixed price taxi. The exhibits are 90% military and all are sadky roped off, so you can't get up close to take a good look, which is a shame. You have to ring the bell to gain access as mentioned in other reviews. Worth a visit.

All those Rusky jets! Wish I could have got closer to the Tu22 Backfire.

Great place to explore. Open air museum with USSR era jets, helicopters and airport trucks. Non-profit run by aviation enthusiasts. 5 minutes walk from RIX airport, very convenient to pop-in before a flight.

An amazing aircraft graveyard, especially at dawn (you might have to look through the fence from the outside because it might be closed then). I am relatively certain that they are all Transformers.

A very interesting aviation exhibit. This isn't like a typical museum. It is a fenced field full of mostly Soviet aircraft and helicopters. The price to get in is 7 euros, and then you are free to roam around the displayed aircraft. There are aircraft names and specifications displayed next to the exhibits, but if more information is desired, the museum website has great information on the displayed pieces. I found it well worth the visit.

It's a must, if you like airplanes and to study their design this is an unknown gem of the soviet work. Really go to the airport a couple of hours before and do take a stroll before they sell it for parts

Very nice museum. It's practically scrapyard of old aircrafts, but it's very nice designed and interesting. Everybody who loves planes would loved this place.
