I get that it's a hospital and all of them have policies and problems, but each time I went there i had to sit there for over five hours for nothing. Two times shifts changed as i was waiting and the doctors coming in didn't know I was waiting apparently. Was passing out in the hallway waiting to get help. Plus, if you came by own car not an ambulance, don't bother. They will treat all the drunkies and junkies brought in by ambulance before you no matter how bad it is, unless you literally pass out there.

Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital was founded in 1910 and boasts of its long history and traditions.The hospital changed its name eight times: in 1910, the Riga City Hospital 2, during the Soviet period in 1940 and 1941, the State Clinical Hospital, during the German period until 1944, the Second City Hospital of Riga, from 1944 to 1948 - again the State Clinical Hospital, then - the Clinical Hospital of the Republic, since 1958 - the Clinical Hospital of the Pauls Stradiņš (named after Professor, the head of the long-term hospital Paula Stradina), since 1993 - Pauls Stradiņš State Clinical Hospital, since 1995 - Pauls Stradins Clinical Hospital, Medical Academy of Latvia. Since 1998, in the present name - Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital. The hospital occupies a wide area, preserved original buildings.It's worth a look.

I have witnessed an episode of indifference of the hospital staff towards a severely injured drunken old homeless, where they left him almost die, while prioritizing my small injures.
