Really nice temporary exhibition of contemporary statues and related items. The permanent exhibition is also interesting to visit, containing mostly paintings but also some silverware and objects. Takes about 1h30 to visit all.
Combination ticket for temporary and permanent is 6 euro, 3 for students. This was a highlight of my visit to Riga, one of the best musuems for sure.

It is really a pleasure to visit this museum because everything is so new and well-made. Building is really pretty and after reconstruction is surely one of the most beautiful places in Riga. Permanent expositions are really awesome and will appeal to any taste. You can not only see wonderful paintings, but also such staff as ivory Japan sculptures, viking-era dresses and even a real mummy! Totally recommend it if you fancy visiting a museum!

It was a nice experience being there, so many beautiful paintings and the place itself is very beautiful, it's expositions change by time so you can visit the place multiple times

Enjoyed it! Small enough to feel like you see a lot of things. I went with three children and they loved it

Interesting museum: you can see things from India and China on the first floor and from West Europe on the 2nd. There are also some temporary exhibitions such as the ones from the Russian realism.
However it is not easy to see everything; since the placements aren't really well explained. For example, I could not see a Degas' drawing that appeared on the website.
Staff was not really friendly or useful.
