The best place to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner in Ventspils. Food is very tasty and staff so nice)

i came there probably at 10pm when the restaurant was closing and last customer leaving. First time in town, literally less than 5 hours in. My mom has diabetes and if you are familiar with this illness you know that when blood sugar starts to drop you need to eat something, literally, something, even a piece of bread. SO i walked in and asked the first waitress if they were open. The rudest answer "NO" while walking by without even looking without any acknowledging . All the staff inside was very young girls probably just happy the shift was over. I get it, back in the day I worked in this industry and i know how it goesmaybe a date is waiting or a party, whatever but to give such a short and rude answer and look at you as if you just disturbed their life is not very cool. nevertheless I walked inside hoping maybe someone else from the staff will be kind enough to maybe tell me where i could get some food for my mom who was just standing there looking weaker and weaker, Rude answers "go to downtown texmex.huh??? " basically get off our backs. When I stated it was an emergency and maybe they could sell me anything eatable they just obviously couldn't understand. Ok, fine, its an odd situation and I got frustrated and left. Lesson from this situation? maybe the staff from this point should get a little training on people with diabetes and maybe just maybe learn a little bit about compassion and acting fast not just feeling lazy and disengaged. Very disappointed and grossed out, would never in my life come back to eat at this place

A fantastic restaurant/cafe with delicious food. The staff are very friendly and the pricing is very good value. A great location, although gets very busy during lunch and the evening.

Top 1 restaurant in Ventspils. Too crowdy in summer (families even wait to get a place), but definitely worth it! Not expensive and very delicious, you'll wonder why you paid so little after the meal
