  I highly recommend it. For 3Euros you get s candlethingy and you then can explore the castle with some rooms, views and medival vibes. And the pictures speak for itself I guess.

  Had a great experience exploring the castle. There are many things in the castle, worth the admission price. Highly recommend visiting the old castle.

  Cesis castle is definitly worth a visit. The castle is a combination of an 'old' ruïn-part and a 'new' intact-part, accessible with the same ticket. Sometimes a part of the ruïn-area is not accessible due to a weddingceremony. The tower in the new part provides a very nice view over the old, compact citycenter of Cesis. The tour through the new building is ok, the ruïn-part and the aren surrounding is nice for a slow, enjoyable walk. It's not the most impressive castle, but still a very good one.

  Untapped possibilities is my impression for this castle. Beautiful place and I believe that it was a beautiful castle sometime, based on images. It could be way better if it was reinstated and way better as a attraction for tourists. I believe it can compete with Malbork Castle, not at this moment though.

  A fraction of the site would be worth the 4€ admission. Huge place - I actually got briefly lost I side one of the multi-story towers. One corner includes free games and play equipment for kids and adults. Far and away the best part about visiting Cesis.

  We visited only the tower because we arrived shortly before closing. Still worth the visit :) nice view from the top and for the elderly or pregnant people there is an elevator that brings you most of the way to the top :)

  Beautiful place. Not too big. Three or four hours is enough to to walk through all places without hurrying.

  On a Monday you can only visit the old castle ruins. Takes 30 minutes. The candle die kit you out with is a nice touch, but for the rest, there's not a lot to see.
