Amazing medieval and more modern castle. €5 adults and 2.50 students gets entry to both castles and a museum. The medieval castle you are given a lantern to show yourself around the dark corridors This was super cool and great experience.

One of the best "castle programmes" for the groups - everything is perfect - the performance, the actors, the story, the music, the food, the atmosphere, the surroundings :). We had a great time. Highly recommended.

A good place for stopover on the way driving from Riga to Tallinn, and to experience the medieval atmosphere. You can have a nice walk in the castle park around the pond.

The Cesis annual summer festival is worth the trip out no matter where you are in the Balticum. Great time great beer great market and the 5 stages throughout the festival offer authentic Latvian fokelore music and dance.

An absolutely lovely place that really leaves an impression with its high and mighty mediaeval castle walls, while maintaining a very civilised atmosphere. The gardens are incredibly well kept and I could probably spend hours just by the lake alone.

Very interesting historical place. Old castle is in quite good condition, original walls. There is museum on site and quite pleasant park for walking.

Very beautiful place to have a walk. Enough benches around to rest your feet. Little pond in the middle of park with a water fountain statue. In summer time there is a working catamaran "Karlis". Has a big stage with medieval castle on the background. Very popular place for different type of events. Must visit place if you're on Cesis.

Music during Fono Fest (Celebration of Cēsis), which is mostly heavy, matches perfectly the park and the medieval castle which raises above the stage.
