Really interesting Japanese restaurant specializing sashimi and sushi. I had the lunchtime chirashi, the cuts were fresh. Even though I find the rice a bit too soggy (not sure if this is the local preference?) and the vinegar could have been stronger too. But I still quite like the ambience of the store. The owners, although Japanese, seem to have been in Luxembourg for a while. Quite a lot of regulars and they speak fluent french.
Note: Remember to reserve before coming.
Sushi's are really good. Also it's a wonderful place to drink Sake! (Atsukan) I loved it!
Authentic Japanese food in the little peaceful town of Luxembourg with every bite tasting remind you that they only use the freshest ingredients.
I've had a lot of sushi around Europe and most places have been somewhere between okay and good but none have been proper Japanese sushi. It's usually compacted rice with thin layers of mediocre quality fish. Luckily that was not the case here.
The fish tasted fresh and delicious. The tuna was firm without being sinuous. Each piece of fish was flavourful without being overpowering with the perfect amount of wasabi and fresh, room temperature and soft rice - the way it should be.
For the price it is very much worth it. Highly recommended.
Sit at the bar for best sushis! Very small Japanese restaurant. One of the bests in Luxembourg
Excellent sushi for a reasonable price. Very friendly service. I Strongly recommend this restaurant!
Got the usual must have a booking nonsense that Luxembourg restaurants demand. After some stuffing around they sat us at the open bar which was fine. Sushi and sashimi was of average quality. Seaweed salad average. Teriyaki dish below average. Service average. Price point too high for the low quality. It wasn’t terrible but we won’t go back.
Excellent service, slightly small portions but the quality of the fish makes up for it. Service was really friendly and helpful with choosing the right dishes.
Nice and fun waiter. The sushi itself was good, but I've had better. Unfortunately the chef was not in-house so all warm/ fried dishes were not available. Will go and try those some other time.
Simply one of the best sushi restaurants in Luxembourg. If you love sushi you need to try it. Open kitchen, chef cooks in front of you and you can see the art and love he puts in every plate he makes. You have to make a reservation as the place is always overcrowded.
Absolutely delicious. The fish is very fresh. The sushi in particular was phenomenal. The dab of wasabi between the rice and fish is a great touch. The staff is super friendly too. I ate at the bar and chatted with the chef throughout my meal. He was very helpful with personalizing my meal. I suggest making a reservation. It was packed when I arrived 30 minutes after opening.
Tipically the food is very good, just called to order a plate to pick up and they told me they have too much work, so they will not serve me
Be sure to make a reservation before going. The extremely sweaty server yelled at us for failing to do so before arriving. Seems understaffed and quite rude.
I've been a loyal returning customer there for about 13 years now. The sushi amongst every else they serve you is exquisite with honest hard-working service! The fish is always exceptionally fresh and among the gossip of those who do return there, many consider this the best sushi in Europe with a good price-to-qualit ratio when comparing to the prices at big metropoleis. By far my favourite restaurant and highly recommended for those who demand quality sushi!
Among the best sushi I ever tried. Comparable to starred sushi Restaurants, but it is a sushi bar. Service always very friendly.
Unfriendly and strange service. Nice sashimi
Excellent service, slightly small portions but the quality of the fish makes up for it.
Best sushi/sashimi/maki in town, and thats why I keep on going back. Definitely book ahead of time as the place is not huge (a proper Japanese vibe for that). The waiting staff is very nice and accomodating requests, or providing advice on what to order. Also, can have a chat with the chef if you are sat at the bar.
The sushi is great and quick-served. Nice waiters/waitresses.
Was on top floor with a small company of friends. That was delicious and very nice room, personal was friendly. Highly recommended if you like Japanese cuisine.
Great sushis for the price, count around 30e for a full meal, sushi chef has been the same since the beginning, the only issue is the service. Make a reservation, or arrive on opening time.
Nice and very good food, but you must be upstairs otherwise it's too crowded.
good food, small portion, pricey, staff good could nicer
