It is a "passage oblige" if you are in Luxembourg city. The ambiance of this historical building along with one rich and generous cuisines that favours local and seasonal products, will be a full pleasure..add to it friendly and discreet service to make this gastronomic experience full.

Usually excellent, but today not so. I came for a Valentine's Day Lunch and expected to be swept off my feet, but it wasn't so. We ordered the menu ( appetiser, main and desert) for 50 euros each and it took 2.5 hours for the entire service. I was falling asleep on my chair in-between courses. When we asked about the food, we were told that all other guests had asked for a speedy delivery, so we were served after everyone, although we had ordered before them. I had to request bread because it did not automatically come and I was very hungry during all the waiting. Best of all was the topinambour little soup that was served before the menu. The lobster bisque was a little salty and the sauce served with the noix de St-Jacques and shrimp main was also too salty. The desserts were not to my taste. The chocolate brownie was dry and contained figs, the flammed banana was soggy and not very nice to look at. If you want to go there, sleep well first so that you will have more energy to withstand the long wait, but also tell the waiter that you only have 1.5 hours or so, otherwise you'll be there an hour longer. Whenever I visited the restaurant in the evening, I never had issues and the food was fast and fantastic.

What an appalling restaurant! I researched a number of restaurants on my visit to Luxembourg for writing reviews and rating venues. A number of faults; the service by the waiter Pierre, he was nothing like the French people I know and value in hospitality. His abrupt and rude manner put me off from sitting at the table. 2 dushes from the 3 set menu were not good - scampi was SO salty, apricot pie was cold, I'm guessing it should have been warm, nope! I had to ask for water, this should be a standard offering by the waiter. They have 2 stickers on their windiws at the door stating 'Free wifi', definitely NOT available, therefore why have stickers advertising this. Pierre was rude and almost shocked that I'd asked for the password! Seriously I would NOT recommend going there, terrible experience hence why I feel the need to write this as I travel around the world for food and wine experiences, but never have I felt so wishing I'd never walked into the so called 'restaurant'. Don't waste your time there are other fabulous venues witb much better food and service!
