The Hotel Carlton is located in spectacular Luxembourg on a beautiful European street with rooms showcasing quaint rooftop views. This tiny but strategically important country has been pivotal in wartimes of the past boarding the countries of France to the south, Belgium to the west, and Germany to the east, all easily accessible by train.

Visit was very nice. Staff were very helpful. We interacted with 3 staff.
The room was fine and comfortable. I will say our room was noisy. As in floor the sqaeeked when one wakes on it. Charming in a way. As my floor at home has a squeeek or two. and I heard other floors as well. Location was perfect and the recommendation of restaurant Bella Napolia accross the street was spot on.response / report this review -

Staff is friendly and helpful, they serve breakfast from 5 AM, it's near the station and the area is full of bars, cafes and restaurants of all kind. Americans will find the rooms small, I suspect (as in most other town centre hotels in Europe)

So disappointing. The building is old and you can hear people WALKING and TALKING . The WiFi is also very bad.

Really for the price its just okay. The room was bad but had to keep window open at night because no air con. However I had a room on a higher floor and a nice view of the steer which was nice for people watching with a free cup of coffee from downstairs. Staff wasn't bad either. But at the end, only three stars bc it was a bit pricey.

Very nice staff, but the hotel rooms need some renovations as the floor tends to make quite a lot of noise. Optional breakfast is not so varied as it should be.

The structure is quite old but clean. The personal is really kind.

The hotel doesn't look too impressive from the outside, but that changes once you enter the cozy lounge. The rooms are nice and clean with very comfy beds. The breakfast is good with plenty of choice (I only missed the joghurt). But the best part of the hotel is the receptionist who is friendly and does all he can do to make you feel welcome.
