Chilling place for a whole family. Wifi is kind of weak but everything else is alright.

We have planned a trip around coming to this campsite for months. One week prior to travelling the booking was cancelled as they decided not to open the campsite. Poor. Wouldn’t risk another booking here.

Terrible experience. If you dont like yourself and want to be belittled. Go to this campsite. I still tell people stories about this place. When i describe some of the rudest people i have ever met. The experience i had at this campsite was the lowest hospitality experiences we ever had.

Dear. Owner/manager. Maybe you should sell the place to someone who likes running a campsite?

Dear potential clients of this campsite. I highly recommend to Camp in Germany. They are lovely over there and always go out of there way to help.

    A great campsite.
    Pros.
    1. Car next to tent
    2. Dogs allowed
    3. Good clean toilets and wash area
    4.good flat ground for tents
    5. Taps for water just few steps
    6. Quiet site
    7. Reception staff friendly
    8.good play area
    9. Just outside the site there is a forest with great jogging or bike routes. Lovely to walk with lake views.
    10. Tent. Car. 2 people just 15 euros. That's the cheapest we've been to.

    Cons
    1. The shop is very under stocked. But 10mins by car is a few supermarkets
If not for the shop then 5 stars

My partner and I have been travelling through Europe and have lucked upon some very friendly and helpful campsites. Unfortunately this was NOT one of those. We arrived late in the evening ~8pm and asked for a pitch with electricity. We paid more than most campsites prices expecting a superior service. We were simply given lots of pieces of paper and told where the pitch was. We were given no instruction or advice by the seemingly stoned member of staff who was so slow it was rather painful. By 10am the electricity was shut off and by 10:30 we had the very 'to the point' owner come and tell us we needed to be gone by 11 as that was check out. When we said we hadn't been told anything about check out his reply was 'you didn't need to be told, it was on the paper'. Further more we were then rushed and told if we didn't get out by 12 we would be stuck until 2:30. Safe to say it set the day off to a bad start. The campsite itself looks okay and full of activities but the male staff there are relatively useless. That being said the female staff was lovely and welcoming. Seemingly good campsite, real shame about the people running it. Would not recommend to anyone.

Very well laid out campsite very close to city. Toilets and showers very clean and staff very friendly. Has on site snack bar and shop and there is an Italian restaurant in the sports centre next to campsite. Also had driving range and play area for kids. Stayed 2 nights and well worth it. Loads of space between motor homes too so not right on top of people.

This was a good camp ground with we'll set out camping places with clean and modern toilet blocks as well as friendly staff that seem to speak all languages. The only thing stopping me from giving it five starts is the fact that it is under the flight path. Plans were loud until 12 at night and started again around 7. If you are a light sleeper this could be an issue.

Excellent campsite on the edge of Luxemburg city. Very good size sites on grass areas. The toilets and showers are very clean and modern. Fresh water all around but not one for each site. Electric is available and there is a bar, restaurant and camping shop. Although three site is dog friendly there is no are designated for dogs. When arriving there is a lane with writing which is where you must park until you get your pass card to enter the site. Easy access from the motorway.

People and atmosphere are cold. No charm but all what's needed is there and there is a big playing area for children. The personnel doesn't want to speak French

Only stayed one night as a stop off through from UK to Germany. Extremely friendly and helpful staff who spoke good english, clean facilities and free hot showers. Had everything we needed as a stop off place. Lovely italian restaurant next door and a woodland walk ideal for the dogs 30 seconds from campsite.

It was an amazing and relaxing experience to spend a weekend here. The people are very nice and helpful at the reception and the shop, the place is green, calm, well-organized, clean and simply beautiful. If you are with a tend, the prices are low generally and they offer free Wi-Fi connection as well.
If you would like to visit the capital city, there is a bus stop near by and the ticket is free on Saturdays!!
My only problem was with the water: warm water is included, however there was not real warm water, at least for me.
Overall, I really recommend it, if you would like to spend a nice time surrounded by nature and nice people. :))))

Turned up but it was closed. However the man came out apologized and suggested the other camping spot in Luxembourg, however I already knew it was closed so he said it would be no bother if I parked next door for the night

Owner would not let us in, even though we arrived just in time (22:20). After ignoring us for a good 5 minutes, he told us (in unfriendly manner) to stay at a public parking instead. Terrible experience.

1 star But they don't even deserve that

    Camping Kockelscheuer

I arrived at this campsite this morning 10am may 2016 after 8 hour drive from the south of France. The barrier was down but campsite said open and within opening hours I didn't want to block the entyr where the barrier was down so I drove on the other side to find a parking near the reception as I passed the reception I could not see anybody there I parked in an empty placement very near to the reception. When I went to the reception I was greeted by the owner who very rudely told me to leave, it was not open yet, and I had no right to enter or park where I did. I said sorry but I couldnt find anywhere else to park I said the Tourist office told me about this place She said I dont care about the Tourist office I am the boss here. I tried to explain I didn't want to block the entry and was simply looking safe place to park. I was still calm Then she basically lost it and said she would call the police if I didn't leave immediately. I was incredulous and they she said if i didn't leave she would call her husband. Immediately he arrived even more agressive than her and screamed in my face to degage !!! (fling your hook !! ) What a great introduction to Luxembourg camping I have never ever seen such aggressive angry behaviour even living in London all my life I am lodging a complaint at the Luxembourg Tourist office and I will not let this lie !! Best wishes Michael
