This used to be my local grocery store. Good selection for such a small store. Prices are higher than most other places in Luxembourg, but not unexpected given the area. Also has a bakery and tobacco/lottery desk with good a selection. Gets very busy with students from the surrounding schools at lunchtime. Also often long lines as people finish work.

Nice little shop always fresh and healthy, great selection of sandwiches, but sometimes their pizzas to-go are cold. There are also homeless people always sitting outside of the store, it's quite unpleasant and frustrating.

The highest-quality food in the city: fresh berries, duck meat, quail eggs, Berdorfer yoghurts (exclusively!), peeled shrimp and Fleury-Michon duck pie. I do not see it often in other shops. A gourmand's paradise.

Good selection of fresh produce and meat with fair representation of national brands. No doubt hand picked by discerning purchasing committee consisting of choosey Luxemburgers. Above all great place for shopping and speed dating :-)

Just enough stock to satisfy a basic shop. Does get busy at lunch time.

Good for small grocery shopping. More expensive than Auchan. The bakery is exceptional.

In case you are a foreigner and probably visiting lux for the first time, you might be looking for close super market near you to shop. Cactus Supermarket is on of the well dominating super market in Luxembourg in almost every conner of the city. In case you happen to leave near limpertberg, Cactus limpertberg is for you. It's a relative huge super market with mostly the main home, work or school needs items you need. Happy shopping!!

Small local supermarket opened until 8pm on weekdays and 7pm on Saturdays. Very good selection for the size. Friendly staff. Avoid Sundays between 12pm and 1pm as it's crowded.

The Shop is open until noon on Sunday. Expensive but convenient.
As you can see in the picture, there are full time-beggars warmly welcoming you near the entrance. Often male and female beggars sit left and right side as pair of gargoyles and they ask you for entrance fee. On Sunday, you can meet additional part-time beggars too.

Open until 8 weekdays which is handy. Some ranges can be a little limited as it is a smaller store.

Mid-sized supermarket covering all essentials, plenty of food options with hot counter and bakery. Fully stocked tobacco desk available too.
