  한국어로는 강삭철도로 해석되는데 케이블카는 줄에 메달려 간다면 이건 산으로 쭉 레일이 깔려 있는 형태다. 1931년에 지어졌단다. 현재는 이걸 이용하는 사람이 별로 없는 것 같다. 이걸 이용하지 않더라도 돌아가는 길로 올라가면 되긴 한다. 이용하는 사람이 적어서 가격은 비쌀 수 밖에 없겠더라. 관리하는 할아버지 1명이 있는 데 사람 좋아 보이고 단 여기 왕복 표가 아니가 편도 표다 내려가는 걸 굳이 살 필요는 없겠지.. 가격 똑 같더라 어차피 손님 태우려면 내려가야 할텐데 싸게 해주지하는 느낌이 유도리 발휘해서 그냥 내려보내도 좋을텐데 아저씨 계산은 정확하게 하더라.

  It's ok. It's historic, so you should definitely try it at least once. It also brings you up to the church when you can get a good overlooking view of Kaunas. It's 0.50€ per person per ride and you pay on top. There will be a man waiting for you there. As for furniculars, I find the one in Bergen the most fascinating (I've only ridden the one in Paris, Bergen and Kaunas) and the one which offers a great view while going up. Nevertheless, this one's a pretty interesting ride.

  Every time I come to Kaunas I try to use this way of public transport at least once. It is a piece of unique heritage.
