Walkable from the main train station in the city (long walk, but straight-forward), cheap taxi's with kind drivers, bus services are frequent and cheap. The most accessible airport I've ever been to.
The airport is modest in its size and on peak days gets overcrowded. Security check usually takes at least 20 minutes. Seating space is somewhat limited, but the business lounge only costs 25€ when booking online (29€ when paying in site).
The toilet stalls are huge. One can easily roll in with their luggage.
The temperature has been set way too high this festive season.
It's not busy. And staff is very friendly. Nice duty free. Anyway, I can't say anything wrong about Vilnius or Lithuania. It's my country. Proud to be Lithuanian.
Airport itself is decent. But outside was full of drug addicts going crazy all around (at least 3), then jumping into public transport, was very scary and unpleasant. Security should be better organized/aware and make arrivals and connection to city more secure and pleasant.
We were in transit in this amazing country. Vilnius greeted us with wonderful weather. As for the airport, everything is very good. It may seem small at first. But inside it has everything you need. There is also a cafe for everyone. Small shops, souvenir shops. And just places for visitors where you can save and charge your laptop or phone
Awesome easy airport. I was shocked at how short the security time was, in addition to its vicinity to downtown. An airport has no business being this convenient ! Also great access to public transportation.
Very clean and functional airport. Staff are very polite and very helpful. Bathrooms are cleaned and replenished with essentials. Signs for directions are everywhere!
Vilnius airport is a lovely beautiful snowy airport lovely staff fabulous and freindly great shops loved travelling through vilnius airport as a traveller it is the best airport ever I'd live in the airport if possible fab security as they Lithuanians lovely and very polite
This is a small but good airport. It's located fairly close to the city and Vilnius has Uber, so travelling between the two is no problem. I admit that while I typically use the airport bus, I just didn't while here; Uber is pretty cheap by UK standards, so I was lazy. After security/airside the airport is small, but fine. There's a Subway and some other eateries. Pretty pleasant overall.
Vilnius International Airport is located around 10 minutes drive from the city. The airport is quite small compared to other international airports, nevertheless it holds both international and domestic flights. The premises are fresh and new. There are a few cafes, a book store and a few duty free stores inside. In case needed, it is possible to rent a car right in the airport.
Small, modern, clean and simple. Very closed to the city center. If you are traveling in Vilnius and want a cheap and easy way to get around, download Etaxi. It is like Uber but cheaper. From the center to the airport it was only 5 euros.
In one part of the airport you feel comfortable as home. There is everything you need. Bur there is no nice souvenirs after security..
Small and uncomplicated airport. Connection to city is very close, convenient and cheap by bus. No need to ask for more.
The Airport looks nice and quite new. Service, however, is not good, and airport staff is not helpful, on top of being difficult to find English speakers (cafes, souvenirs shops, etc). The waiting area before security and passport control has a very limited number of seats if you have to check-in any pieces of luggage. It actually feels like the whole airport was not properly planned amd designed when it comes to the general layout of the service areas.
Decent airport. Medium sized. Everything necessary (foods and drinks) available, we visited some sports bar kind of place. The beer was nice but meat was done so over it was dry (ordered rare). Some servers and sales people all around the airport speak very little to no English.
I do not like their car pickup area, it's not easily understandable where you have to be for a pickup, it's somewhere second floor between two buildings not from entrance.
Cosy and allowing terrible service practices eg. boarding finished and keeping 200 people in a boarding corridor sleeve/stairs even before the plane from previous flight landed!
Small but cozy, practical and efficient. Most of the time fast and hassle free check-in and security screening, so usually coming there 1 hour before the flight is more than enough, and even less if you have checked in online and have only carry on luggage. Free WiFi works great.
Wrong things are going in this place, and by my impression the direction is to deteriorate with time. It is too small for amount of travellers, and usually very crowded. Most of spaces are organised in disconvinient way, part of passengers directions, especially on arriving from non Shengen countries are complicated and too long for such small size airport, lot of doors are not working as an escalators too, especially on the way up.
The customs can take breaks before flights to non EU countries.
The worst thing is the border control, especially on arrival: the space is organised very bad and very small, there is no real deviding between the lines of EU and non EU passengers, on my last arrival it took 50 minutes to pass the border controle after landing at 2:07 am (in the middle of the night)!!
The part of the stuff is antipathic.
The only place that it seems working very good in very difficult conditions is security and the hand luggage controle. All other is very disapointing
And no talks about plans to do something with present situation. But a lot of talks about saving money. Wy passengers have to pay this price?
Good organised. If flying at the same time like charter, recommend to order fast track ticket. Order via internet or SMS (Lithuanian providers only)
You won't get lost at this airport, which is it's biggest advantage. As soon you have your luggage you're out on the streets . It makes traveling much easier.
