Tidy and quiet. Ordering tickets online is highly recommend.
still so far from the 21st Century European Station.
Innovative design, but unknowingly throws off the Soviet-era breath.. There are no comfortable waiting room, not even restaurant, where you could wait for you train when raining outside..
Cozy and simple train station. Clear directions and information.
Very good train first class travel to Vilnius was very reasonable. The cashier changed our tickets when our plans slightly changed with minimal fuss
Simple navigation, signs. Ticket sale desks & personel are helpful.
Cultural object of Vilnius. BTW it has nice place inside to have drink while listening to some good music. It's called Peronas
A classic station for travellers local and international. Recently renovated still maintains a traditional hub feel
Clean areas. Has a Maxima shop, plenty of ashtrays, vending machines and decent toilets. Toilets cost 30c however and the cafe is rubbish.
Work as good as every other good railway station. Thumbs up
Limited place to sit down while waiting a train, not the best wifi signal, no parking, but everything else is perfect. It a nice, small train station with grocery store and place to eat pancakes inside.
Convenient compact station. Like to be there. Luggage locker is just 1 euro for 24 hours. Toilet - 30 cents. Shop, bar and caffee are very close to waiting hall.
The overall vibe of the station itself is quite nice. It surely accommodates the basic needs of a traveler and the interior of the building has a grandiose feel to it.
However, the exterior of the building (or rather - the area surrounding the station) is a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Best be careful around here. Belarusian contraband, midnight prostitution, rabid alcoholism and the designated police force (which is corrupt) surely increases the odds of a person staying within the area of the station for substantially less than 30 minutes.
Location is perfect. 2 minutes by foot to the old town. But, the surroundings needs imprivement. The BIG ONE!
Well connected with other cities of Lithuania. Try Pancakes of Gusto inside.
Wifi sucks. Otherwise nice small station. Grocery store in the basement opens at 6AM, diner (1st floor) opens at 7AM and has great choice of pancakes. 24/7 exchange office.
First timer or English-speaking passengers may require extra time at the ticketing counter due to their non English-speaking staff. However, we were blessed to be served by one patient middle-aged staff who tried her very best to communicate with us and provided us with departure & ticketing details. We were given 15% discount per round-trip ticket purchased (01 day) in advance departing from Vilnius to Šiauliai on first class cabin (Express 78 series)
Staff sitting inside the "Information Office" (next to the ticketing counter) were extremely unfriendly & impatient to foreigners.
Express trains are clean, modern and punctual. Services in first class cabin include: cold light meal with juice, hot beverage & newspapers. 1st cabin is spacious & comfortable!
