VGTU Theatre - Studio "PALĖPĖ"

1999 metais Vilniaus Gedimino Technikos Universitete režisierius Olegas Kesminas sukūrė teatrinę erdvę studentams, kuri buvo pavadinta teatru - studija „Palėpė“. Gavus porą auditorijų ir universiteto vadovybės palaiminimą, prasidėjo „Palėpės“ gyvenimas. Režisierius, kartu su keletu studentų, apleistas patalpas pavertė teatru ir sukūrė pirmąjį spektaklį. Netrukus dienos šviesą išvydo antrasis, trečiasis... Šiandien spektaklių sąraše jų jau yra virš dvidešimties, o teatro narių – virš šimto. Ne vienas „Palėpėje“ atranda antruosius namus, kuriuos sunku palikti, tad ir užsibūna čia ilgiau nei trunka studijos. Kasmet teatro repertuaras pasipildo vienu ar dviem spektakliais. Kelis kartus per metus teatras dalyvauja tarptautiniuose teatrų festivaliuose visame pasaulyje, kur kalbos barjeras netampa kliūtimi būti suprastiems ir įvertintiems.
Taip per daugiau nei 10 metų teatras po truputį augo ir plėtėsi, tik žiūrovų salės liko tokio pat dydžio. Mažytės, bet gausiai lankomos. O tai, ko gero ir yra didžiausias įvertinimas tiek režisieriui, tiek teatro nariams.

Theatre-Studio “Palepe” (“The Attic”)

In 1999, theatre director Olegas Kesminas has created in Vilnius Gediminas Technical University a theatrical space for students, which was named Theatre-Studio “Palepe” (“The Attic”). A couple of university auditoriums and the blessing of university administration was the starting point, and so the life of “Palepe” began. The director with support of several students transformed the abandoned premises into a theatre and produced the first performance. The second, third and other performances followed shortly afterwards. Until now the theatre has produced over twenty performances and has had more than a hundred members. For many of them “Palepe” becomes a second home which is hard to leave behind. This is why they stay longer than the duration of their studies. Every year the repertoire of “Palepe” is extended with one or two new plays. Several times a year “Palepe” participates in international theatre festivals all around the world, where the language barrier is not an obstacle to be understood and valued.
The theatre gradually grew and expanded over more than ten years, and only the auditoriums stayed the same size as they were at the beginning. Tiny but abundantly visited. And this is perhaps the most important evaluation both for the director and the actors.

  Tikimės, kad išsiskyrimas kuo greičiau baigsis ir vėl galėsime susitikti spektakliuose. Akimirka iš naujausio teatro spektaklio. Nekantriai laukiame jo premjeros.
