Nice place to see part of Lithuanian history.
One of the most important historical places in Lithuania.
On 16 February 1918, a group of brilliant people made history here - they have signed a declaration of independence of Lithuania. By this time, Lithuania territory had been occupied by the Russian empire for around 120 years. So you might imagine what a miracle it was to restore the independent Lithuanian Republic after 120 years of russification and oppression. On 16 February every year, there's now a celebration at this place. Currently, a recently discovered original act of independence is being exhibited here. Best time to visit is now!
The best thing now is exposition of Lithuanian country restoring document. Other things are ok, but need a lot restauration.
Small museum about Lithuanian history around 1918 when independence was announced.
Supposedly one of the most important building in the country as it witnessed the new chapter of the future. More attention should be given.
One of the places to visit for someone who is interested history of Lithuania.
Worth a visit by patriotic Lithuanians.
