  At the moment two different exhibitions take place at the Castle Museum. The entrance fee is very fair (0,87€ for students, regular price is around 1,85). The first exhibition deals with the history of the castle itself as well as with the history of Klaipeda from when it first was mentioned until today. Even though the exhibition includes some pretty interesting artefacts, the main problem is that all the explanations are only written in Lithuanian. Hence, as long as one is not able to understand Lithuanian at lot of the information is lacking. 3/5
  The second exhibition focuses on the role of Klaipeda and whole Lithuania during World War II. This exhibition was made with a great eye on the details and the atmosphere, dealing with this sad part of history. Every explanation is given in English as well and the staff is very helpful and friendly. 5/5

  Amazing museum for a quick visit! Based inside an ancient castle walls. Informative and interactive displays. Good place for kids.

  Obecnie do obejrzenia są dwie ekspozycję. Jedna ukazuje zamek w wiekach średnich a druga czasy najnowsze XIX -XXI wiek. Do zwiedzania są obecnie tylko podziemia, ale trwają prace rekonstrukcyjne nad odtworzenie zamku. W związku z tym teren jest rozkopany i trudno znaleźć wejście do muzeum.

  Mažosios Lietuvos istorijos muziejaus filialas. Eksponuojama Klaipėdos piliavietės radiniai ir šių dienų miesto mero regalijos. Rugpjučio 1 d. labai anksti ryte vyksta miesto vėliavos pakėlimas , o pilies poternoje iškiliems klaipėdiečiams kultūros magistro žiedų dalinimo ceremonija.
  Taip pat piliavietėje vyksta kiti kultūriniai renginiai
