Not very child friendly! Instant remark of the employees when a child touches the exhibition cabinets.

Place for thinking about life and history.
Take good clothes with you. Humidity is very strong there. Probably you will feel cold.

Awesome place, looks nice. A great sight to see for the whole family. Take your friends and kids there. And if you have a chance, get a guide. You'll experience something you haven't before.

Very interesting. Recommend doing it as a guided tour as you get to see parts you would not be allowed to see on your own.

Very interesting, takes a whole day though. Not recommended for young children, and a guide is highly recommended

Light One Candle, A Survivor's Tale from Lithuania to Jerusalem – Solly Ganor. You can download this book on Google Play Books. Suggested reading for anyone planning on visiting the Ninth Fort, as well as for anyone who has already made the visit. As a survivor, Mr. Ganor presents us with a more accurate history as to what really took place at the Ninth Fort during the Jewish persecution, which was not only fueled by the Nazis, but many locals, as well, who didn't need coercion to carry out acts of murder, and brutality towards their fellow men, women, and children.
I think it would be nice to offer flowers, and if allowed, hold a candle, in remembrance for those who perished, and make prayers that these atrocities never happen again.

Great place for short walk combining with history and sightseeing. Museum is really interesting as well.

Historical museum and fort, beautiful big monument, urban green grass and of course big parking place for cars.

A must visit. Some incredible true stories of survivors from all sides, and gives an insight into the dark side of history. Highly recommended.

Good place to build historical feeling. If you read all what is written, it gives goosebumps. Also not recommended if you are more sensitive.

The view is amazing, however be very careful with what you are wearing. It is a large open area very windy and can be freezing.

A gorgeous view of architecture and a quieter side of Kaunas. Definitely climbable, yet not in dress shoes! It was such a bummer. The area is open to the public, and there is a museum as well.
