For God sake this is an international airport, it should have better services, hospitality, and spacious

I lived here, and attended the airport school as a teen in the 1960's. At that time it was called Roberts Field Int'l Airport. Each morning a Land Rover converted to school bus picked us up and off to the three room schoolhouse on airport grounds. My father built the first modern terminal at the airport, and made improvements on the Hotel.(no longer there)It was a tight knit community. People from all over the world working and living together. Everyone looked out for one another, black and white. I learned to drive a car on the main runway. We all lived on the river. A trip to the beach meant an hour's boat ride to the mouth of the Farmington river. From that little spit of sand you could see monkeys swinging in the canopy nearby. It was a safe, and special place. A kids paradise back then.
I know the place has changed drastically. The photos I’ve seen of what’s left of the airport and the ruins of the hotel are saddening. I have nothing but good memories of the place, but I wouldn’t want to go there today.response / report this review -

The custom at this airport are corrupt they steal from almost everyone who passes through the airport..

This a very basic airport. Ask because Kenya Airways departs from a different location compared to other flights.
