We were offered a higher price for our food than we settled for. We were told that it's a good bargain and in spite of the food looking unappetising, with flies on some, we settled because we were extremely hungry after a trek. The food was cold and regular in taste. We ordered 2 beers and when the bill came, our so called special discount was made up for by charging 4 times the actual mrp of the beer. We bargained some, paid the rest and left after telling the staff how disappointed we had been.

Our guide/driver knew of this place and took us there after our tour of Sigiriya Rock. It was very clean and pleasant atmosphere and tasty Sri Lankan food. It’s a rather large dining room, so tours could be accommodated pretty easily. Our driver told us that the owner used to be a tour driver himself. We ordered the fried rice lunch plates and ginger beers. The fried rice was tasty and they had homemade chili spice that enhanced the flavors. And if you haven’t tasted the Sri Lankan ginger beer, you’re in for a sweet and ginger-y treat!

A very nice place for lunch enroute to Sigiriya fort. Decently done, well laid out, clean and tidy place. Had rice and curry, which had a nice homely taste. Good service too!
