We spent 3 days at the woody cabana was absolutely amazing. Shan and Gaja were such welcoming hosts tending to do our every need. The food prepared by Gaja was lovely. Our room was so comfortable, the Ac, fans and the mosquito net are real asset. It felt like time spent with family. They arrange boat tour for us, they bargain for us for less money snorkel trips were outstanding, . I was very sad to leave.
If you want to go to the Trincomalee and you don’t want to go to the big Resort because that is very expensive, I highly recommend this place.response / report this review -

What a warm welcome, instant communication, efficient station pick up by free tuk tuk. Greeted with a top notch barbecue and lots of warm smiles. Beautiful setting, comfortable cabana. Their warm hospitality quickly made us feel like family and we treasure the conversations we had sharing things about each of our families. .The cabana was cozy and outfitted well for our comfort. We had a choice of AC or the fan. The cabana sits up on a hill with a wonderful view and a steady breeze. The home is a short walk down the hill onto the street with restaurants, bike rentals, snack shops and then across the road to the most wonderful beach on the Bay of Bengal. We swam in beautiful calm waters everyday and lazed about the beautiful beach with restaurants right there for food and drink on the beach.NOW to the good stuff. Gajani's cooking. We were fed wonderful home cooked meals with menu choices. One night prawns and fish in an amazing sauce, tasty vegetable dishes, avocado and mango juice drinks like we had never tasted before. We could go on and on about the food. We agreed on what we wanted each day and the price was much lower than any restaurants in the area and the portions huge. Always leftovers for lunch next day. We have made friends for life and can't wait to return. This is the place to stay when visiting Trincomalee.

Eve though little hard to access this place , hosts are very helpful and quality of service. Highly recommended.
