Always been such a great place. They make amazing coffee and good food but we made the mistake of ordering tea today. Just plain old tea. And they got it wrong. Sigh. Will go back though as I am a fan of their coffees but just won't order tea again.

We had high hopes. But the service is terrible! We ordered lunch and coffee. The food was good. But they brought us the wrong coffee and when I tried to tell them it was wrong they insisted it was correct.
I am not sure if they are under staffed, but just getting some water we had to ask several times and waited a long time. It was the same with everything we ordered. If the service was better this would be a great place.response / report this review -

Lovely atmosphere and decor, blended with the high quality aroma of the coffee makes this place a must visit.
The coffee they serve is not what you get at your average joes. The cold drip is a must try.
The food is a pleasant surprise as well. Haven't disappointed me so far.

Recently visited for dinner. Had a very dine-y feel to the place and a mysterious decor kind of thing going on. Staff were very courteous and quick in service. Went for a dessert straight on with pancakes and strawberries with ice cream. Was disappointed that there appeared to only be a single strawberry cut in to so many pieces. The plate looked bare. But it tasted great I must say. Americano was spot on as well with a very strong taste to the coffee. 9/10 recommend.

I would give it five stars except for the service. I am a regular here and love the place and the food. The service is somewhat poor and have to wait forever to place the order or to even catch the attention of the wait staff. The wait staff is pretty poor in place setting and often fail to provide even the correct amount of glasses for water. That being said, this is one of my favourite places in colombo to chill with friends and have a meal and conversation. This place is a must try and if the service improves it will be an amazing experience.

So bad experience I don't remember when I get last time From begging I order tomato soup and waiter bring me some vegetarian one even don't ask me if I want something different that what they haven't. About pasta of my boyfriend he just forget. Even than we thinking.. Okay, happened things as that.. But next time we went down to select sweets from the bar and. They again forget to bring to my BF what he order ( my desert was over date of expired.. And they even include it at the bill. ..

Great place thats on Marine drive. Has a good variety of food and drinks. Drinks include coffee cocktails and juices. Good for meeting with friends and also to work or read. They also have an open area with a great sea view. Bit on the pricey side though.

Place was kinda hard to find but i guess thats what its all about. Being subtle. Food was actually pretty good and the place smells amazing. Prices are reasonable. Environment is friendly. Peaceful compared to many places

Great coffee, the flat white was pretty decent, but the pour over was awesome! Sri Lankan grown coffee and roasted on site, definitely worth a visit if you are into coffee.

Great little cafe on the water. They have a roastery on site and serve up delicious Sri Lankan grown coffee. The pour over was very good, as was the chocolate brownie. We spent a hour or so here just chilling out in the comfy chairs overlooking the sea and drinking some well needed caffeine. Definitely check this place out.

Excellent coffee, but 250 bucks for a 500 ml bottle of water and 800 bucks for a chicken sandwich make from a finale multiseed bread available at keells super? I don't think that's fair nor great. For 800 bucks I expect fresh baked bread as a Customer, nothing less!!

Love the coffee (obviously) and the food is pretty alright. The best part about the place is that the prices are inclusive of taxes so you know how much your paying for what you eat and drink, and don't have to suffer from added tax shocks when you ask for the bill!
The service can improve. On a slow day, the waiters tend to go missing, specially if your upstairs.response / report this review -

Best (homegrown) coffee I've had in Sri Lanka. The cold drip is perfect for a hot tropical day and pairs well with their delicious Eggs Benedict. Love working from there in the morning and early afternoon.

Absolutely the best local coffee shop in Sri Lanka. Awesome local coffee with fabulous food. A must visit destination in Colombo with a breathtaking view of the sunset over the sea.

Four stars because the coffee is fantastic. However, the food items are not always on point. A few I do recommend are the nachos, the chili beef burger, and the dessert tasting plate. The breakfast here is also quite decent. A place for a view on a somewhat sunny day!
