  I had the good fortune to attend Eid al Adha service here with friends, while on vacation in Colombo.
  
  Before the prayer, there was a chant in the masjid by the locals, this form of worship, I was unfamiliar with, yet it was very spiritually gratifying.
  
  The masjid is beautiful, (less beautiful than the red mosque) and spacious. I met and bonded with locals who were extremely hospitable. I had dinner with one such friend, whom I will visit again, god willing.
  
  Visit this masjid if you are close to the coast and/or are unable to experience the red mosque.

  airconditioned inside. easy ablution place. Jumma congregation is at 12 30 pm (khuthba). Azan is not loud enough at fajr time. but big crowd prays there. got parking as well.

  A good mosque, with ample space to pray, Conveniently located at the heart of Wellawatte area. Ground floor prayer area is air conditioned. Convenient for ablutions with a dedicated basement area for it with convenience for storage of footwears.Security is good with many CCTV cameras present at the premise. The toilet facilities are good. The only noticeable downfall is the limitation of space for parking of vehicles.

  Close to the main road.
  Calm & quiet.
  Clean.
  Parking area is open only on Fridays.
  Toilets need a cleaning.
