One of the most incredible (in the very positive sence) hotels where I've ever stayed.

A lovely posh hotel with great views and reasonably quiet. Don't do the excursions through the hotel as the guides are generally useless and a few hours at Lion Rock costs almost $200 with a guide that won't go to the top with you as he's out of breath.

Beautifully decorated large cottages set in rice paddy fields roamed by dozens of peacocks and many egrets and herons. Sigiriya Rock in the background gives it an unreal look and feel. Lovely setting. Very large pool never busy. The staff is very friendly and well trained. Regarding the food I would stick to the Sri Lanka curries if you are just there for a day. The western food is bland. We enjoyed our stay. If you are looking for nightlife this is not the place for you but it offers you a relaxed environment well run. For birders there is a sanctuary very near but even the large hotel grounds are visited by many species including weird and wonderful hornbills.

Very nice place with excellent service. Unfortunately we were only able to book 1 night but thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a large private Villa with a view over a small lake. Room was spacious and nice. Also did use the pool and was nice to swimm with the view towards lion rock and a lot of birds around in the ponds. Great place if you want to relax. Dinner and breakfast (made to order) were very good as well.

It is an experience which cannot be described. Luxury,. Nature. Birds. Food. SPA. Breathtaking view of Sigiriya. Friendly and well trained staff. What a jewel.

The best place I have been In Dambulla -Sigiriya. Beautiful place. Friendly staff, Great food and service. Each chalet has a private pool. If you want The best view of the Sigiriya Rock this is the place..
