i certainly miss this place.I was there 12 days on April. Great house, nice people, dogs and cat, even a cow, their become my friends for this short time. I say hello to Dawinda, i hope we'll meet again.Vova.
As a British-Sri Lankan who has visited the country many times, I am more than happy to endorse Villa de Zoysa. Genuinely high quality yoga, awesome food, beautiful house and a short bus ride to lots of the popular spots along the coast. Devinda and his team worked really hard to make each guest feel at home, and with such grace too! I made friends, progressed my yoga practice and left feeling thoroughly relaxed. I'll definitely be back!
Hey! I found Villa de zoysa by chance, and it was the highlight of my trip. The yoga lessons are in very high quality- best teachers from all over the world. Staying there feels like home - you will meet people from all over the world. Beside that, the food is amazing! And the rooms are so chick and fancy.
The villa is on the beach side (feels like a private beach)
I stayed 3 days and I wish I could stay more.
I planned to stay two weeks but then I liked this place so much that I stayed longer. It’s a beautiful location in nature and I really adore the sunrises at the beach! I liked the yoga lessons because every teacher has his own style and quality. I learned a lot about yoga and about Sri Lanka as well. Great food even it’s everyday almost the same, but I enjoyed it! Devinda is a great planner of trips and adventures! Thanks again for the time in the villa and especially for the help with my trip through Sri Lanka!
It's a very nice place, beautiful house, beautiful garden, pool and we've been hosted perfectly by Devinda and his staff. Very friendly people live and work in Villa de Zoysa and even if we don't practice Yoga we enjoyed our stay here very much. Met other guests from all over the world. The food was devine and we could recommend this beautiful place to everybody. We hope to come back one day. Barbara and Stefan
Perfect house where you can feel yourself at home. Amazing breakfasts and dinners to complement daily yoga sessions. Devinda is a great host!!!
We have been there for one week and enjoyed the amazing food, yoga and Devinda‘s hospitality. We would always come back and can recommend this place.
My 15 year daughter and I loved this placed , food , host, staff , yoga and can’t wait to come back.
Loved it. Amazing! I was travelling by myself & was lucky enough be there (mid- 2015) whilst two highly skilled Yoga instructors from Russia were teaching. Yoga classes catered for both advanced and beginner students alike. The villa is stunning and is maintained by wonderful staff. The food is truly a culinary delight & you will be talking about it for years to come. I met some amazing travellers & shared some great conversations around the dinning table. I had plenty of privacy if I wanted to read a book or do some work yet the company of others was never far away. I have just been raving about this place to a friend who needs all the things this beautiful place has to offer. I will definitely be going back.
I spend more than 2 weeks at the White House during my 7 week Sri Lanka trip, but I could have spent every single day of my trip there. A wonderful house, large beautiful rooms, a nice garden with pool and the BEST FOOD that I ever tasted in Sri Lanka. Everything is home cooked and some is grown in the own garden. Devinda is a great host with a big, generous heart and always has an anecdote to tell around the dinner table. It is easy to go by bus to nearby beaches for swimming and surfing during daytime, or visiting temples, tea plantations or Galle fort. The yoga was amazing. Twice a day, each class 1.5 hours.
Simply heaven on earth! I would love to visit again and recommend anyone travelling to Sri Lanka to visit this place
Had a great experience at Zoysa, the FOOD alone is worth the visit (Chef been onsite for over 26 years) The Home is great, the staff wonderful, and the intelligent and friendly host, Devinda is hysterical to chat the day away with.
If you're planning a yoga retreat here, make the trip to Sri Lanka. Wonderful place, great vibe and the absolute best food.
I went there 5 years ago and I'm still annoyed at how horrible the owner Devinda was. Very bad experience. Do not recommend. PS this is not a fake review which Devinda says about all the negative reviews he receives.
We spent 2 reaaaaly good weeks at villa de zoysa ! The house and the garden are so nice and peaceful (we could heard the waves from our rooms) and the train gives also a charm to this place ! Owner, people who work there and yoga teachers are so friendly !!! There was a very good atmosphere. I strongly recommand this place !
I've just returned home from two wonderful weeks at Villa de Zoysa.
Devinda is a superb host and his staff take great care of the house guests.
Two yoga classes a day and a very healthy south Asian vegetarian diet have left me 4kg lighter and feelling much fitter & more positive than I have in ages.
Our lovely yoga teacher Ann knew just how far to push each of us to extend us beyond our previous limitations.
It's warm in Sri Lanka so take a beach towel to cover your mat, otherwise you'll slip when your hands and feet get damp.
To steal a line from Arnie, "I'll be back"!
Just an amazing place, which makes me coming back. Now it was my second time there and it was even better experience than the firs, which was already perfect. You have great two yoga classes per day and I always had well experienced teachers. The place on itself will take your breath away, rooms are spacious in rustic beautiful style, there is no way you'd not fall in love with this place. Also the food! Extremely tasty, healthy and always beautifully set up. All what you looking for from your yoga holiday, you'll get it here and even more. It's simply perfect and I'm happy to be back :)
