  After recent archaeological excavations the stupa is being rebuild and also the other buildings that needed to make this place proper temple. People could contribute towards it. Apparently the history of the place goes back to the times of famous Seruwila temple itself. The stupa believed to be contain relics of Lord Buddha. It's a must visit place for a Buddhist.
