  The Vijitha Yapa bookshop is one of my favourite places. It's a haven for book lovers of all types since there are contemporary twenty first century reads as well as books concerning history, culture, religion. A lot of magazines, novels, classics and non fictional books are available. The place is somewhat cramped though and there are no chairs to sit and rest on which is a disadvantage.

  This is not good like the Old Vijathayapa bookshop they had 10 years. Now their standards and selection of books have gone down. Now this has become just an ordinary bookshop that offer basic stationary.

  Although the inside decor is not high, there is a very good collection of books and journals. Service is better than other bookshops. Staff are well trained on the subjects. Recommended.

  Great selection of novels and books. Bit expensive but definitely worth it. The staff is pleasant and assist you when needed.
