Wellamundalama - St: Joseph Church

  Wellamundalama was a fishing bank for migrating fishing folks from two villages in Negombo area, Dungalpitiya and Thalahena. On very close date to 15th, of Sepetmber 1988, 24 people who lived in this land including men, women and children were killed by LTTE terrorist and 3 were missing up to today. This Church were built by those people and dedicated to St. Joseph which has been isolated since September 1988.
