  One of the most loved churches in negombo area by catholics. Believed to have lot of miracles happened through prayers. Many catholics who are passing by waikkal town never forgets to visit this sacred place.

  This church is very important to Christians and others too. This is a major tourist attraction place. Any one can spend there free time at here. Any one can swim here but they should be more carefully in this area

  Basically a lagoon area. Everybody can enjoy the place. Ma oya one side and sea on its behind.The bad thing is some people are mis using it. It's better if we all respect nature.

  Even though this is religious place, considering the beauty of the place and space available it's good place for relax and enjoy with family as a day out. But you need to provide food by you self as no facility in here to by foods for locals.
  
  And it's extremely dangerous for river bathing. This is a miraculous place for the Catholic. Even from the Tsunami nothing happened to this religious statute.
