Cheap, good, clean and nearby the train and bus station, it’s great! The staff ladies are very friendly and kind and helpful, very cute breakfast included, they do your laundry quick and give it to you dry and folded! Just what we needed after being at Adam’s Peak which is mainly full of awful places to spend a night. Beds are simple but good, had a good rest finally! First floor is the cheap one but still just fine and second a bit fancier and renovated. Totally recommendable :)

Great budget hostel. The breakfast alone was worth half the prices.
PROS: big breakfast, clean rooms, nice hot showers, safe and best of all was the hospitality of the owner. He's very friendly and will give you any information you need. We booked the reminder of our trip based on his help to find the right busses and trains to get on for cheap.
CONS: rooms are small, walls are thin, don't have keys to the entry door and curfew is 11pm. Its good and bad. For me the curfew was great because the place shuts down early because most people booked excursions or have things to do. This area and this hostel are not for people looking to go out a night. To me it was perfect. 2days is all you need here.

Good price, right on the center, owners will respond to all your needs and even make sure you don't miss your breakfast. Kitchen, WiFi, hot shower as extras.

Nice stay, good value for money. Stay in the rooms upstairs, with ensuite. Much nicer and worth the difference in price. Amazingly caring owner.
Only drawback the noise from the traffic on the road, but I guess it's hard to escape in Kandy, unless you go stay up in the hills.

Good: Near by the bus station. Clean environment. Kitchen and fridge available for the hosts. Breakfast was good (tourist friendly). The owner was helpful in providing direction to reach several places from the hotel
Bad: an unexpected 15% tax rate was changed (very high). The owner conversion from USD to LKR was quite greedy. I wouldn't come back just because of that

Towel and bedlinnen are provided. There is a little kitchen to make your own tea/coffee. Toilet and bathroom are seperated and were very clean. We left early on the day of check out and they arranged a take away breakfast, very yummy!!
The landlords were very friendly, the man helped us with the route towards Kitulgala which we really appreciated. Fair price, good location and if we are in Kandy again we will stay here definitely again!

I have never encountered such a nice owner. I was new years when we visited so loads of placed were closed and so they ensured they made us packed lunches unasked for the day trips we took out of Kandy. They also prepared a special new years dinner with traditional sweet treats. I have honestly never stayed with such generous and hospitable people. The rooms are pretty basic but clean with a/c. They have a kitchen space that you an use and it's not far from the train/bus station at all. Highly recommend.

Racist owner that denied room to my driver. Terrible arguments that do not belong in the 21st century. Claims that establishment is only for foreigners and claims that Sri Lankans are dirty and unhygienic and that he does not allow them on the premises. Told me too find another place avond the corner. Told him that it was unacceptable after travelling with my wife and two small children for 6 hours. Only go here if you have no problems with racism and discrimination.

I had booked a bed in this hostel with a free cancellation option. Two weeks later I found out that a bed in another room was for a lower price. As I had a free cancellation, I cancelled my previous reservation and made a new one. Shortly after I got a message from the reception saying that they don't accept my new booking and if I want to keep it I need to pay higher price plus cancellation fees (there were no any fees). I said that I was not going to pay higher price, as I had the right to cancel and book again, this is normal practice. They replied me very rude, saying that I'm not welcomed to their hostel, after that my reservation had been cancelled. Stay far from these cheaters!

Very friendly and helpful owner. Close to the bus and the train station. Clean rooms and bathroom. Value for money is good.
Small minus is the noisy traffic around the hostel, but overall advisable accommodation in Kandy!

The guesthouse owners are so genuinely kind and readily offered many helpful tips during our short stay. We felt very comfortable and secure in our double private room with a private bathroom attached. Convenient location to the train, buses, and not far from the city center. Fan, towels, and breakfast were included. Good value and we enjoyed our stay!
