Best ever local village i ever traveled. you can park the vehicle at junction & have to walk 2km. along the way you will find Wedda Peni Ella. This is the trail for Manigala & Duwili ella hiking area.

The village is eye catching and authentic. Villagers are very friendly and helpful. Do not disturb their way of life in anyway. Consumption of liquor and smoking is un-advisable in the village. The road system is quite ok even for a car. But be vigilant about the gaps as well as the narrow places. Driving is risky during misty times. Altogether a great place to visit.

Good people. Value for price. 10-20 people accommodation available. 15 people for 8000. Additional domatry available. Food and tea for low cost. 175 per head. BBQ possible. But no noisy activities. Not for alcoholic fans. Silent place in the middle of village. Best stay for Manigala hike. Last 300m walk. Recommend road for high clearence vehicles. WagonR Alto OK.

A great village with a great view and great people. If you are visiting manigala or knuckles mountain range you will come across this village.
