The perfect hotel for Business trips. Well equipped,helpful staff. Rooms are cozy and likeable. Free pickup and Drop to Casino's. Sky lounge in the evening is must visit for sunset. In food - Good buffet spread especially in Sea food. Location is a big plus. Overall a happy experience.

It has a beautiful view of the city of Colombo and the upcoming port city.

The honey beach club is a perfect hangout spot. I try their cocktail. It was awesome. And best room service and Excellent staff! Very friendly and professional.

My wife and I enjoyed our weekend in this wonderful place. The price is compatible. Also Beautiful deco. Overall, a very good place to stay.

Easily accessible and well maintained car park yet the security people were not that much supportive. The interior is clean and tidy. The flowers are very beautiful and lovely. The waiters are very helpful even though you are an event participant. Food is great. The best thing is rose flowers. They just add an magnificent view to the people once they enter to the hotel. You can experience the 5 star comfort. Very cossy atmosphere. Moreover you can arrange meetings, conferences and even the events like weddings and so on.

I used to have an okay opinion about this place, but today's high tea just changed it completely. First of all the spread was not very impressive. There was a fly buzzing about at the sandwich stand. Everything was mediocre., nothing special, including the desert.
Service is just sad. After my mum spilled her drink on the table ., I asked for it to be cleaned. I saw the manager type fellow just walking about., doing nothing. Had to tell a waiter again., who got the job done. Many off the staff were chatting about their personal affairs, which is very unprofessional.
Then at the juice bar., I was told 'you come back' because there were no glasses. This was just hilarious. Usually, they ask politely to go sit and they would bring it over or say please come back after five minutes and I'll have it ready for you.
The seats we sat on were poorly maintained. And the list just continues. It's not that I'm an extremely fussy person., but one does compare. I've been to my fare share of five star hotels., in Sri Lanka and over seas. This is just substandard. It's embarrassing really. I really hope they improve.
The only good things., flowers were nice. Pleasing to the eye. And that one waiter who got the job done.

The Hotel has a good location and most rooms command a great view. Comfortable lobby and a well-stocked pastry shop. The breakfast buffet is also good. The rooms however, could do with better maintenance and give a slightly run-down feeling. The Room service menu has hardly any choice for vegetarians.

Excellent staff! Very friendly and professional. The price is comparable to other fine hotels. The hotel is beautiful; however, the bathroom is on the smaller side. Overall, a very good place to stay.

Can experience one of the best 5 star experience in Colombo. Food is great. Staff is well attainable even you are an in-house gust or event participant.
This place is also ideal to have meetings and official conferences as well. Can negotiate with management to have the best you want for the occasion.
Ample parking available at the back of the hotel.

One of the leading 5 star hotels in Colombo. Friendly staff. Good food. Great pool side cafe. Prices are slightly higher here compared to some other Hotels. But it's worth it if you don't mind spending a couple extra bucks.

The Kingsbury hotel is a five star rated hotel. It has a beautiful view of the city of Colombo and the upcoming port city. The high tea is also great with quite a variety of short eats.. The honey beach club is a perfect hangout spot by the poolside and their pizza is a must try! The food at sky lounge not that great. I went sometime close to Christmas and the ambience was very Christmassy, Beautiful deco.

Used to be. The best buffet in town. No more. As many low grade ingredients are used now. Plus 2 small bottles of beer cost more than the entire afternoon buffet set.
Now the Cinnamon Grand is better.
Plus it's also not on the seafront. Like the Kingsbury

It's an ideal location with good architecture. I love the inner ambience and the sailors lounge is a bliss. However my recent visits for formal gatherings , I've had to experience a menu which am not very happy with. So for casual food it's the place but for formal gatherings I guess you should have a good chat with the chef prior to arranging. Anyways it's a Hayleys hotel so management is cordial and very professional

I love their buffet, very good variations and reasonable price. Their starter and dessert options are better than mains. Quite atmosphere with good views. Good for groups, couples and individuals. Recommend making a reservation for large groups.

My family and I stayed for a night in Kingsbury on 16th Sept.
It was a very impressive hotel, the decor and cleanliness of the room was perfect!
There was such a great variety of food for breakfast!
My only regret is that we stayed only one night. We will definitely return and will highly recommend this hotel to our family and friends

The north-facing rooms overlook the pool. Avoid them at all cost if you want an early night or a peaceful evening in your room, otherwise you will be subjected to awful techno noise pollution from the so-called "beach club". Apart from that, the hotel is very good.

Rooms are okay, service is slow and if you like free stomach problems the place to go for. Reception very slow and many procedures before you check in. Bell staff just busy chasing the female customers and forget the rest. Early morning you see having staff a informal meeting at the reception and don't mind helping customers with luggage.

They have a nice cafe and very friendly customer service. But needs a little improvement in fast service during peek hours. Food is delicious. I had mutton Samoa and a Latte Machiato. Love the positive vibe in Kingsburry the gourmet station.

Amazing experience at the Sky Lounge ! Great view of the city with fast and friendly service. Wasn't crowded on a Thursday night. Nice drinks and small plates. I recommend the Down South Special with Cuttlefish and Prawns with a side of french fries.

Huge selection of foods for buffet. They may be really good for a foreigners, but for most locals it lacks the extra spiciness we expect. Deserts were also lacking the extra sweetness as we locals expect. Ideally located in Colombo closer to the sea. Good place to hang out and have a drink too.

went to Kingsbury for high tea recently
they have a very good spread and the food is delicious. I loved the ice coffee. Great atmosphere to have a casual chat with the friends and loved ones. also ideal for business chats. highly recommend for anyone who haven't tried yet

Kingsbury
The Kingsbury have a huge array of food when it comes to their food. Their wide assorted array of breads is very pleasant to the eyes. The prawns fried with the sauce is the best starter one could wish for. I am mostly a meat person so I skipped everything and just went to the meat section had the baked fish with butter and lime. Then had the BBQ chicken with some pork and beef. The pork wasn’t all that great. BBQ chicken was too dry and not juicy. The desserts I enjoyed the strawberry tart and the brownies with Ice-cream. The trick here is not to be greedy and decide selectively what you want to eat and enjoy it rather than piling your plate with food. Overall the food is good but is it worth the money is debatable.

This particular Hotel hit all the right notes with me. Courteous staff, affable room service and just a general all-around good feeling when you walk around. I don't care much for the construction outside infinity pool but that didn't really affect my trip. The pool was brilliant, the Rooftop Bar and just as interesting at night. I did check out the breakfast buffet which overwhelming me immediately I suppose next time I'll just order room service to keep it classy.

I found a location pretty helpful as well just walking distance from the Dutch Hospital which has some interesting little pubs and restaurants.

Well it's good. Compared to other hotels. But it took 15-20 minutes for them to come and pick the luggage from the room. We were fairly unhappy.
Food was good, better than the last time tried. But still expect better service than this.
