We were determined to try out the much talked about sea food restaurants in pasikuda during our trip.
Visited Crab and Lobster for dinner on the first day. The place was spacious and clean. Its an old house converted to a restaurant. The menu was quite decent. I was undecided between the devilled prawns with partha and crab koththu. However the waiter kind of narrowed it down by saying they have run out of crab 🙁. I have no regrets as the prawn dish was good. My husband was satisfied with the vegetarian dish. So I would give a 8 out of 10 for food.
The staff was friendly and attentive.
There was no big wow factor but it was a decent place with reasonably priced dishes compared to the nearby hotels.response / report this review -

The best delicious seafood I had in a while. Tried the butter crab and curry crab, It was so full of juicy meat. The crab was cooked perfectly with spices.

Despite the negative reviews most people have given, I would say this place is not that expensive. This place is certainly pricier than the average Lankan street shop, but the food is really good, atleast for me. If you are a Sri Lankan, you might feel the food is slightly undersalted or over salted depending on your home region. But if you are a foreigner, you will find it to be spot on. If you do not know what you are ordering, please ask the waiter to explain the dish at least because the seasonings and spice mixes are sometimes more weighted to a Lankan taste palette. Many people order food without knowing what it really is, this happened on the day I went there for dinner. The ambiance is great, the service is good. Parking can be a bit of an issue if it's crowded. Overall it is a good place to get sea food dishes.

We had lunch here a few days ago on our way to Pasikuda. We were the only people there. They were able to make anything on the menu. We had grilled shrimp with garlic bread. Portion were not very big but ok for lunch. Good place for a quick meal, not very close to Pasikuda though.

Very bad service and food. 3/4 of the fish dish contained only capsicum. Food is horrible.. Not tasty at all. Just the name and the outer appearance but horrible, f***ing food and service..

Bad service, terrible food. The fish was clearly not fresh and so overcooked it felt like tire rubber. And it's not cheap either. No wonder we were the only people there. You've been warned. Two thumbs down.
