nice place nd A grade resturant of a mc limit
We spent 3 days in total in Kandy and went here every day to get our lunch time snacks to take on our day trips. Delicious veggie options, and clean area
Great Food. So much variety. 5 restaurants in side and a bar
Quick place to eat. A little slow on the service but great food. The location is super convenient for people exploring kandy by foot :) walking distance from the temple of the tooth makes it very convenient
(Reviewing the restaurant)
Alright place to eat! When we got there were no clean tables but we sat down at one anyway. After maybe five minutes they had fully cleaned our table, but there were still some tables left uncleaned. Our food took a little too long to prepare and the service was certainly not the fastest. But the food was good and that’s what matters to me.
Otherwise the restaurant was okay, there were no windows in the room but they have successfully decorated it so it’s not too boring.
We got Sri Lankan curries and rice, it was amazing. Highly recommend this place. Ambience and service was really good as well. Bakery items looked great but we were too full to try.
Love the environment in side the restaurant. Amazing place to dine in if you have a high budget. Try the vegetable soup which comes with a garlic bread portion.
good place to hang out. but the tea is terrible
Price is considerably high as for foods served. Good environment though.
Once of the best place in the kandy town area to enjoy a bite ,really quality foods, you can feel it also with flavour, prices are really fair ,good customer service ,mostly popular with foreign back pack travellers
Great snake street food, vegetable and fish pastries were very nice and local priced, great for backpack and those looking for cultural experiences. Used by locals to pick up bread, cakes etc. Food was fresh and tasted great
Lime n mint drink is awesome. Seafood rice is also good.
They have been maintaining their standards for decades, so I gather from what I heard from ma parents who lived in Kandy some 30 years ago.
Place is ideal if u r looking to grab a quick snack or even a proper meal as they have an air conditioned cafeteria on the 1st floor with a professional waiting staff to serve ur every need.
And also they sell their quality baked goods just outside their door step so u don't have to go in if u r in a hurry, and u can have ur snack on the go.
Their service is worst. they don't give a damn about customer satisfaction. Waiters are really old people who take hours to take your order. Do not recommend at all. Avoid going their.
Good food. Good price. Very famous between local people as well as foreigners
We wanted to have some typical Sri Lankan snacks and went to the Bake House for that (advised in the Lonely Planet). We looked in the display in front of the Bake House and we got great help/ advise from the staff in what was veggie/with meat or fish/ sweet or not/ etcetera. After picking out different pastries (very low priced!) we got a seat in the restaurant. It tasted good. The inside of the restaurant looked like a canteen and didnt have any atmosphere. Also the waiters inside didnt look happy and didnt come by anymore after we got our first drinks. That would be a thing to improve.
