Very helpful staff and a beautiful location. Rooms are spacious but in need of a renovation. Pool side drinks and food were great. However the massage was a big let down, unless you like tons of oil and no skill involved. More competition nearby would probably result in them picking up their game.

The staff was super nice and helping, they really made an effort to make our stay unforgettable. The location is lovely and the lake proximity make the place quiet and relaxing. The hotel amenities and surrounding were good for us, I particularly liked the Ayurvedic SPA. The room was also great, we had a wonderful view to the lake and it was comfortable and well decorated. The restaurant menu lacks of variety though, the food was good but if you stay more than a few days you will have hard time making your meal unique.

The place was ok to stop over for a night, we were hoping to have cocktails by the pool but the day we stayed was a full moon so no alcohol was served! We could only drink the beer from the mini bar. The room itself could have been a bit cleaner and there were a lot of flies and bugs in it. Guess because it's beside the lake.
We had the buffet for dinner which was outside under candlelight which was nice. Nice food and much better than the breakfast.response / report this review -

Perhaps the most professional customer service I've ever received. I made an enquiry on the website about having a bottle of wine delivered to my girlfriends table during dinner. It was immediately picked up by Shawn, who gave me a list of wines to choose from and an order form. Within an hour I had a bottle of wine delivered to my girlfriends table with a personalised note attached. Made her entire holiday and has restored my faith in humanity. When I go to Sri Lanka next I'll be giving you my business. Many thanks Shawn and the rest of your fantastic staff.

Beautiful hotel, dinner was fantastic, unfortunately the breakfast was probably the worst we had in Sri Lanka. The chef in the dining room could only cook omelette's, after waiting 10 mins for the kitchen to scramble eggs I gave up. We were in the breakfast room for 45mins, I never saw one omelette cooked in this time. The other breakfast choices were poor. I ended up having fruit and toast for breakfast

From the moment we got there you can tell this has a special edge to it. We were greeted warmly, with a very smooth check in, a cool towel and a drink. The staff are brilliant and look after you in every way. This is definitely a luxury hotel. Expect to pay more than Sri Lanka's usual prices for food and drink but you are in serenity so it is worth it.
