This is the largest government hospital in the region. Most of latest and essential treatments and facilities are available. As private hospitals in Kurunegala are not developed as in colombo, this is the only option for serious issues.
But unfortunately we experienced several poor treatments due to ignorance of doctors as heard from every where in Sri Lanka.
If you are financially capable it's better to go to kandy or colombo.

My father worked here as an MLT so I know that this is the only hospital in Kurunegala with proper laboratory facilities. Going under some construction and there is a long queue in front of OPD. But apart from that best government hospital in the area.

Has to bear sri lankan shortcomings of what's coming under free. But after all they save lives eh. 5 stars.
Actually the special unit for heart patients is really good,clean and all. Not the same case as of other wards

There is the one and onoy liukemiya ward in sri lanka.
Herat sergeries also done in kurunegala hospital
And the lungs ward is also very good
But space of ward is not enough
