This place is conducted by health department Co-operative thrift and credit society Ltd. Colombo 10. A nice place in kataragama town area, also very clam place for be in holidays. Nice view in back yard with very beautiful paddy field. It has very large vehicle park, dorms for pilgrim people's. And rooms with attached bathroom are very clean. Security of the place is good.

This is a good place to stay when you are traveling to Katharagama. Close proximity to Kirivehera and devalaya. It has nice location next to the paddy. There's a helpful staff. You can order breakfast and its really cheap. The road to the rest is also good except the last 200meters, that's bit difficult especially during rainy days.

A well maintained place to stay in Kataragama. They have both AC and Non Ac rooms as well as family rooms. Place is neat and tidy. There is a young manager who is pleasant and very helpful. You can have a great view of Wedahiti Kanda and the greenery fields. Near the fields, it is so windy but a nice experience. Also all the available rooms are worth the money. Not expensive. If anyone needed, they have a kitchen that you can use to cook your own food. They also have a cook that can cook for you

Very good place to rest and stay a night. A very good current of wind is there where you will be attracted to that palce. Bedrooms are very good. And even the prices are very cheep. I recommend this place.

This place is extremely modest but clean. No TVs and you get only the bed and the room and no pools. Its worth for the price I feel. Mostly people stay here to go to Kataragama Temple.

Good place for a mid class family and good food is available there and they will prepare anything u like for dinner breakfast lunch I've been to there more than 7 to 8 times clean rooms and bathrooms good water too nice view of the paddy fields and there is a big car park

I liked the place. It was nice, clean , and quiet environment. Yes we come to kataragama on pilgrimage . But rules & regulations are too tough for a vacation .
We need to have a drink, they said it was not allowed,we had to go out for a beer, then they asked us to come back before 10.30,said dinner table will be closed by that time,then we asked whether we could get it to the rooms ,then they said having dinner in the rooms is also prohibited !!
I thought of informing the Health Department Thrift Society officials regarding this matter ..Was it some kind of a jail we were boarded..
