  The place was really nice and attarctive. But the caretaker who was providing the service (11-13 Nov. 2023) ought not to be accepted. Because, When we arrive to the place we met army officers, policemen and flower vendors who were very friendly and polite. Even the tuk tuk driver who drived us to the circuit treated us really nice (these are the human ethics and humanity). Then we got in to the place, the care taker was not that friendly. We have been capturing his bad behaviour for several times. His attitude on young people may not very friendly. He may show elderly people respect. We follow all the rules in the circuit. We are reputed, educated characters in the society. Both my parents are reputed, retired govt. officers. So I didn't expect such behaviour from this caretaker. Actually we have been to several govt. circuits, guest houses, 1-5 star hotels etc. Their services were appreciated. Never had bad experience. Also, we have been working with labourers, students, excecutive officers, professors, elders for long time. So we know the behavioral analysis. That is why I am telling that we had seen the difference. I am not telling the survey department is bad. This is all about the ethics, good outcome which we haven't seen by this caretaker. The way of speaking his was rude. Not having respect to the guests. The guests' review book was there on the podium when we arrived, but on the day we left(13th) the book was not there. That is why I have to make a google review. I have been knowing the all good bodies in the survey department since my childhood. The other caretaker is a good person. This time different body. This is all about ETHICS. I am also writing this review not to occur such bad experience situation for another guest.

  Totally dissatisfied. We have visited there recently (11th to 13th November). The place was nice and well maintained, anyway the person who was holding the duty on due days was very bad. His hospitality was not up to an acceptable level. Actually, he ruined our whole mindset and pilgrimage. If you are willing to visit there think twice.

  It was a great experience to stay in an archaeologically valuable place which is 220 years old and was once late Mr.H.C.P. Bell's residence.

  This is budget stay in anuradapura. Very close to Sri maha bodhi and Ruwanweli stupa. There are 4 air conditioned rooms with 12 beds. Rooms and Bathrooms are very clean and maintained really well. The care taker prepare food if the materials are provided. This bunglow can be reserved from the survey department and the reserving person should be there when staying.

  It is a bungalow owned by the Survey Department and can be reserved for other travelers apart from the department. Sri Maha Bodhi and Ruwanweli Seya are very close.
