As everyone who has traveled to the Mannar knows, finding a decent place to eat here is a challenge. and when you ask the locals for options , almost everyone says go to the popular restaurant called choice in the heart of town. I ate from 2 different occasions here and I was not a fan of the food.
Came across this gem of a place "SUNSHINE HOTEL' by accident, and we could not be more happier. We were all starving and was not sure as to what to expect. From the moment we walked in to this tiny place, we were pleasantly surprised. It was clean and the service was beyond expectation compared to the other places here.

We had breakfast, and they had a variety of local foods served here. It was almost like we were eating at home. Food was really tasty and clean and the owner was very assisting. Should definitely try their tinned fish piratal and hot Parathas! So yummy!!! We were one happy tummy happy group!
