Big and well built modern church. Encourage people to participate in catholic events. A lot of chatholic followers visits the church. Only issue is Loud speakers are been used for the mass, causing inconvenience for the surrounding people and blocking of lane which goes along with the church's wall, when ever there are special mass benn held.

St.John The Baptish Catholic Church is well known and attended by catholic followers for more than 150 years in approximate. Church feast is celebrated on month of June to celebrate the birthday of Saint John who baptized Jesus chirst as well. Saint is believed to grant blessing on baptism, good health, protection & guidance on any new beginnings in terms of life, education & work. Church normally conduct mass in Sinhala & English. Church cemetery is allocated to residents. Plenty of vehicle parking spaces, but entry times could have traffic. Situated close to colombo - negombo main road.
